01

A lighthouse that belongs to its territory

The project translates Pacific identity into a contemporary landmark. Its illuminated skin, lookout and public base make it both a recognizable horizon and an inhabited meeting place.

02

Culture rises through the building

The interior is organized as a cultural journey: learning, memory, food, art, gathering and contemplation are stacked into one connected experience. What happens inside is part of the monument.

03

From icon to living system

Vegetation, shade, water and circulation soften the monumental scale. The proposal treats the tower as civic infrastructure capable of hosting everyday life, not as an isolated object.

03 — Before → transformation → after

From functional infrastructure to an urban landmark.

The proposal begins with the existing water-tank structure and preserves its concrete skeleton as the foundation for a new civic life. Light, color, vegetation and cultural programs turn an unfinished utility into a vertical public destination: water, height and community forming a new image for Tumaco.
